The Halonen Museum Foundation was founded in Lapinlahti in 1971. The foundation aims to promote art appreciation and cherish the memory of the Halonen artist family. The foundation manages the operation of the Lapinlahti Art Museum and the Eemil Halonen Museum. The foundation is led by a 17-member committee and a six-member board of directors.
