The Eemil Halonen Museum was opened in 1974. The museum is built in a stone cowshed of a former vicarage.
The Eemil Halonen Museum offers a close look at the history of Finnish sculpture. The museum’s permanent exhibitions introduce you to the lives and artistic works of the sculptors Eemil and Arttu Halonen, who were brothers, as well as to the Lapinlahti Society’s (Lapinlahti-Seura) local collection. The museum features temporary exhibitions during the summer months.
